Title: While stopped engine stalls upon acceleration from Post by leverette on Jul 31st, 2017, 5:49pm I have 1979 Cutlass Supreme with a 260 V8, that runs very strong and idles very quietly. Whenever I drive for a while and come to a stop and step on the gas pedal it will stall. Would this suggest the carburetor needs to be adjusted, idle needs to be adjusted or something else? It has a new gas filter and plugs and wires are fine.
